a little about what makes me an individual

¡hi! i’m inna [blankspace], i’m a fellow human from planet earth, more specifically from spain. but i write in english  because now i reside in america, more specifically in the united states.

when i’m confronted with a sheet of paper or computer screen, i take the liberty to write about the things closest to my heart in lower case, but sprinkle everything else with upper case letters as required by propriety and general spelling rules. when i write important things i also throw in spanish punctuation marks because they remind me of home, and i like home.

other things i love are free-style sobremesas, watching people go about their lives and nature (when it’s not trying to kill me).

on an ideal day, i appreciate and cultivate absurdity in all its forms, create a few mash-ups (like free-style sobremesa) and don’t have insomnia.

right, but we're here for the photos...

photography is to me as good company and spontaneity are to a good sobremesa (this word might be worth looking up for those new to its goodness). i could get by without photography, but it would feel like making plans to sit for hours at a dirty table staring at the wall in rigorous solitude and silence. ¿who would enjoy that? not me, i choose photography.

so, i take my faithful camera, the one that refuses to give up on me, on my walks and look for those things awkward, beautiful, curious, inexplicable, odd, startling, unforseen or, ¿why not? poetic, even though it breaks the alphabetical order.

my faithful camera takes in whatever it finds that fit in any or many of the adjectives above, usually inert bodies or plants that don’t require verbal or physical interaction from me, nor move too much, unlike animate bodies. but, i include the occasional detached body part or far away person.

¿is there a method to this madness?

¡sure thing! i hardly ever go out without the undisputed love of my life and resigned accomplice in my walks: my solid praktica mtl3 and its immortal helios 44-2 58mm f2, both seasoned legends of the streets and landscapes of wherever i am at the moment. together we fearlessly roam cities and wilderness alike, looking for the next sight, carefully curating frames, pressing the shutter conservatively and trying really hard not to trip on uneven pavement again.

i’ve also had short lived affairs with a yashica electro 35 gsn + yashinon dx f/1.7 45 mm and a nikon 2020 + nikkor 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5.

in this webpage are the fruits of all three relationships.
